Homegrown tennis talent to compete at Wimbledon in national finals

Next week, junior tennis players from across the UK will take part in the LTA National Finals and the AELTC Play Your Way to Wimbledon Grassroots Tournament, Powered by Vodafone, at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Next week, junior tennis players from across the UK will compete in the LTA National Final and All England Lawn Tennis Club Grassroots Tournament Play Your Way to Wimbledon, Powered by Vodafone, at the All England Lawn Tennis Club .

Talented players aged 18 and under competed in county and regional competitions held across the country, with the winners having the chance to play in the national final, which will take place on the iconic grass courts of Wimbledon from 7 to August 13.

Competitors will be invited to immerse themselves in the true Wimbledon experience, playing on the grass, competing in white and visiting the historic grounds and museum. For those who narrowly missed the national final, there will also be a coaching clinic hosted by British legend and Vodafone ambassador Tim Henman.

Played on the Aorangi Courts at Wimbledon, the competition will feature 14U singles and 18U doubles for boys and girls.

The event is the latest leg of Play Your Way to Wimbledon, Powered by Vodafone, this year’s competition already offering more than 10,000 playing opportunities for junior amateur players. From 2023, the LTA and the All England Club are looking to expand the competition further, including introducing additional age groups and disability categories, which Vodafone is proud to support.
