stranger things (2016) has been a worldwide phenomenon since its first appearance in Upside Down in 2016. So far, it has enjoyed four seasons, with the final season, stranger things 4being a huge hit for Netflix.
Not only has stranger things 4 Breaking records for the streaming service, it also broke servers, with millions logging on at the same time to watch their favorite characters take on the “dark wizard” Vecna/Henry Creel/One (Jamie Campbell-Bower).

However, one of the series’ stars, David Harbour, who plays Hawkins’ hardened detective Jim Hopper, revealed that while filming the first season, he thought the series would become Netflix’s first failed project. In a recent BBC interview The only show (via Insider) he said:
“I remember when we were shooting the first season. We were in Atlanta, Netflix gave us a budget of around $20. Halfway through, I remember my hairstylist coming up to me, like about episode four that we were shooting, and she was like, “I don’t think this is going to work.”

The 47 year old man Black Widow (2021) actor, who lost 80 pounds for his role as Jim Hopper in stranger things 4continued:
“By the time we were done, we were done, I thought we wouldn’t get a second season, we’d be the first kind of Netflix show to never have a second season. We thought no one would watch it, that was going to be a disaster.
But how wrong he was – stranger things has become one of Netflix’s biggest series to date. It also became their biggest English-language series, while the final season alone racked up over 188.19 million total hours viewed.

The series also appears to have helped slow the loss of subscribers on the streaming service. Earlier this year, Netflix predicted a loss of two million in the second quarter of 2022, however, a report now reveals that it lost just under half, which Netflix CEO Reed Hastings attributed at stranger things.
In fact, the fourth season was so popular that stranger things 4 part 2 crashes Netflix servers. stranger things 4 was divided into two parts, with only one month between the first and the second. However, that was clearly enough time for fans to become very excited for the epic finale.

Unlike previous seasons, episodes of stranger things 4 are about double in length, with the first eight episodes at 1 hour 20 minutes and the last episode at 2 hours 30 minutes.
The final season was critically acclaimed and even drew attention to music icon Kate Bush’s ’80s hit “Running Up That Hill”, which reached the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 and went viral. topped the charts in eight countries as a result of its use in stranger things 4.
